Hugh li
Li’s Music Centre Founder and Principal
With a lifelong passion for music, I began my musical training at an early age and was actively involved in school ensembles and bands throughout my primary and secondary education.
After graduating with Bachelor's degree in Music, I pursued a professional career as a performing musician with a professional orchestra. Alongside my performing career, I have developed a strong passion for music education and have dedicated many years to teaching and mentoring students.
I have been teaching music in Auckland for more than 20 years and have helped develop and nurture many talented students. Some of my students have gone on to study at leading music conservatories and universities around the world.
Over the years, my students have consistently achieved excellent results in music examinations, with a 100% pass rate year after year. My teaching focuses not only on examination success, but also on developing strong musical foundations, technical skills, musical understanding, confidence, and a genuine lifelong appreciation of music.
